TriHarman-Norfolk Open Water Swimming – Wednesdays 6 – 8pm
Great news we will be back to the lake in our usual Wednesday evening slot 6pm – 8pm from first week of May 2018.
We will run another introduction to Open Water swimming course on the weekend of 5th and 6th May, read more here.
It is held at a beautiful unspoilt fresh water lake and is clean and well kept, ideal for training. The results of our water testing have confirmed the excellent water quality making it a great place to swim and train. As this is an existing watersport venue it benefits from changing facilities with hot showers and plenty of car parking.
The lake environment ensures the water is smooth and free of tides and currents, ideal for those learning to swim in open water or developing their confidence.
British Triathlon coaches are on hand to give support and advice and one to one or small group coaching can be provided by arrangement.
The sessions are delivered for TriHarman-Norfolk members and cost £5 per sessions. Guests can swim at the session at a cost of £7 which includes day membership of TriHarman-Norfolk.

The first session is in May 2018 and they will continue through to September when the darker evenings will bring the season to a close.
The venue is the Mike Thurston Water Activities Centre, off Little London Road, North Walsham, NR28 ORB. To find it enter North Walsham on the A149 from Cromer, pass under the rail bridge. At the traffic lights turn left. Follow this road for about 1 mile (passing the local industrial area to your left), then take the second right (opposite the Quaker meeting house). Follow this country lane for approx 0.75 miles, and take the first turning on the left down an un-signed lane (there will be a small race route arrow). The Centre is at the bottom of this lane.
