TriHarman-Norfolk & Woodlands Leisure Triathlon 2018

These are low key GoTri events over short distances and aimed at young and developing athletes, in particular those new to the sport.  They are no frills events with low entry fees and more accessible distances.  View  Woodlands Leisure poster

The second event takes place 8am Sunday 10th June at Woodlands Leisure, Upper Sheringham.

Each person completes a 200m swim in the pool then immediately bikes 11km on a relatively flat road route, finishing back at the centre.  The cycle route goes from the centre, through Bodham towards, Holt, around the roundabout and back to the centre.

Arrive at 7.30am to prepare.

You will need a swim costume, goggles and a safe bike and helmet.  You will also need appropriate clothing for the cycle course weather.  Bring a drink and snack for the end of the race.

We expect this to be a popular event and space is limited so a pre-race entry is required.  Priority will be given to those who have participated in the series of pre-event training sessions (see below) being delivered by our qualified triathlon coaches Mark and Teresa.  Details of how to enter will be released nearer the time.

The minimum age for this event is 15yrs as there is a road section, however those under 18yrs should be accompanied by an adult (who may or may not be racing!)

The entry fees are £6 for adults and £4 for under 18yrs

Triathlon Training Sessions

To help prepare you for the event Woodlands Leisure are offering a series of free training sessions for members, delivered by Triathlon coaches Mark and Teresa Harman of TriHarman-Norfolk.

Those attending the training get first offer of race places.

9am Sunday 22nd April – Cycle and Run training
5pm Sunday 6th May – Triathlon technique and Transition training

You will not require any special triathlon equipment to take part in the training or the event, just a roadworthy cycle, cycle helmet and shoes suitable for running.
